Orlando-area businesses are able to enjoy the benefits of displaying museum-quality art at a fraction of the cost by participating in the Orlando Museum of Arts Council of 101 Corporate Lease Program.
The Corporate Lease Program, initiated in 1974, leases fine art prints to the Central Florida community on a biennial basis. Businesses may choose from a variety of works from the Contemporary American Graphics Collection of 20th century prints, one of the most comprehensive 20th-century contemporary print collections in Florida. The Contemporary American Graphics Collection includes more than 150 original, signed and numbered lithographs, etchings, silk-screen prints and woodcuts by America's foremost artists. The works vary from realism to abstraction, reflecting in its variety of techniques and styles the revolution in fine art printing that has occurred in the last 55 years. Artists represented in this collection include Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, Bryan Hunt, Lesley Dill, Katherine Bowling, Jane Frielicher and many other American masters.
Leasing has many benefits. While businesses showcase quality art at a fraction of the cost of purchasing their own, the lease fees are used to purchase new prints each year, helping to build the Orlando Museum of Art's Contemporary American Graphics Collection.
In addition, by placing art in the community, businesses help the collection serve as an outreach program to educate and familiarize the Central Florida community with America's leading contemporary artists and the Museum.
The lease fees of the framed prints range from $300 to $1,000 per year including insurance, delivery and installation in the company's office. After the 23-month leasing period, the works are collected and returned to the Museum where the entire collection is again made available for lease to businesses for the next two years. Prints may be leased on a pro-rated basis any time during the year with a three-month minimum.
Companies interested in leasing opportunities should contact the Council of 101's Corporate Lease Chairperson at (407) 896-4231, Ext. 254.
